Thomas E. Finnerty Sr.

Mr. Finnerty Sr. founded the firm in May of 1962 along with his then law partner, William M. Bulger.   Mr. Finnerty Sr. concentrates his practice on the trial of civil and criminal cases, representing both injured parties and defendants in a variety of personal injury cases arising out of motor vehicle accidents, unsafe premises and defective products.  Mr. Finnerty Sr. has been lead counsel in numerous criminal cases and civil cases over the last forty plus years usually with excellent results for his clients.

Mr. Finnerty Sr. was employed as an Assistant District Attorney with Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office for nine years.  Thereafter, he was the elected District Attorney of Plymouth County for four years.  While employed as a prosecutor, Mr. Finnerty Sr. personally prosecuted a wide range of criminal matters including the major felonies of murder, aggravated rape, armed robbery, and kidnapping.   He was the only District Attorney at that time to have personally tried a substantial number of major felony cases.
